
Iku Kondou
Iku Kondou (近藤 郁, Kondō Iku, born January 1, 1965) is a Japanese actress, film director, and former adult video (AV) performer. During her AV career, she mainly used two stage names: Ikumi Kondō (近藤 郁美) from 2013 to 2017, and Iku Kondō (近藤 郁) from 2017 to 2021, and was affiliated with LIZM Promotion. She began her artistic career in 1994 as a musical theatre actress, joining the Musical Theater Company led by Shūichirō Moriyama. In 1998, she became part of the theatre troupe Take Tonbo, where she worked extensively in children's musicals for over a decade. In January 2013, she debuted in the AV industry under the name Ikumi Kondō (近藤 郁美) as a mature actress known for her voluptuous figure. Her reported body measurements are 95 cm bust, 62 cm waist, and 90 cm hips, with an F-cup bra size. Over the years, she appeared in more than 280 titles, including solo and compilation works. In November 2017, she signed with the agency Peace Promotion as both an actress and director, under the name Iku Kondou (近藤 郁). That same year, she began directing under the Mellow Moon label, combining performance and filmmaking. Kondō officially retired from AV on December 31, 2020, though some releases under the name Kondō Iku continued into 2021. Since 2021, she has returned to mainstream acting, portraying emotionally complex characters such as abusive mothers, drug-addicted women, domineering female executives, and maternal figures in extreme settings. Her theatrical background has earned her praise for her expressive and nuanced performances. In her personal life, she is a single mother and jazz singer. Her return to the stage coincided with her daughter reaching adulthood, and she has been recognized for her ability to portray challenging roles with authenticity and emotional depth.
