Oliver West is a British-American actor who recently wrapped his first supporting role in the feature film Fortitude, playing Alec West, a character named in honour of his grandfather, Flight Sergeant Alec West.
He is the son of acclaimed film director Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Mechanic, The Expendables 2), whose films have collectively grossed over $1 billion dollars at the box office, including his work as executive producer on the Oscar-nominated Black Hawk Down (4 Academy Award nominations).
Oliver's sister, Lillie West, is the lead singer and songwriter of the indie rock band Lala Lala, signed to Sub Pop Records. The band's music has earned over 50 million streams on Spotify and widespread critical acclaim for its cinematic tone and emotional depth.
Oliver West was born in Santa Monica, California. He moved to England at the age of four and was raised in a highly creative family immersed in film, art and music. his brother William West is also an actor.
