Overview
The series revolves around the friendship of four African-American women in different phases of their lives. They explore the many trials and tribulations that most women face today such as relationships, family, friends and other current issues that will interest most women. Whether it’s getting over a divorce, finding a career, or looking for true love, Girlfriends delivers along with comedy and wit.

Season 1
Confronted with failing marriages, new jobs and therapy, four whip-smart professional women turn to one another as they struggle with life's challenges.
Season 2
After a disastrous vacation in Jamaica, the second season finds Joan and Toni making amends and vowing to never let a man come between them again.
Season 3
Exes and woes test close friends Joan, Toni, Maya and Lynn as they deal with marital, financial and emotional drama.
Season 4
This season, Toni adjusts to married life, Maya pursues her passion, Lynn searches for answers, and Joan tries to figure out her future.
Season 5
Still tight as ever, Joan, Toni, Maya and Lynn start new chapters in their lives involving career moves, motherhood and complicated relationships.
Season 6
The girls return for a new round of relationship trials and triumphs, including another walk down the aisle and tumultuous affairs.
Season 7
Joan tries to make amends with the girls and Lynn pursues her music career. Is the special bond between these women dissolving?
Season 8
New hurdles, same friends. In the final season, Joan, Maya, Lynn and William face tough decisions in their careers, love and parenthood.
